BENEFITING: Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association
My name is Tatum and I am a Univeristy of Scranton Alumni of Class '14 #goroyals. I ran my first marathon 2 years ago (the NYC Marathon!!) and I told myself I would probably never run another marathon again, but here I am... ready for my second marathon and taking on the city of Philadelphia!
I have been a runner since middle school and was a member of the Track & Field and X-country team for 6 years. In college I was a member of Crew team for four years. I have also done three half marathons, so I guess you could say I'm a runner at heart.
This year I have decided to run for the ALS Foundation in memory of Roger Kirk and in honor of the entire Kirk family. For obvious reasons the Kirk family has a special place in my heart and I could not have picked a better charity to run for. Many people in have been in Roger's shoes and have fought a tough battle against this terrible disease, so it is our duty to keep raising awareness and continuing the effort in finding a cure for those who can't be with us here today. I thank you all in advance for helping me raise my goal of $1,000 and the continued fight in finding a cure #mirAcLeScanhappen #foreverKirkinIt.
