On December 15th, 2017, I was given an amazing Christmas gift. I was selected to run in next year’s Boston Marathon (April 16th, 2018) under the Charity program “National Organization for Rare Disorders”. I am fortunate to have been chosen and due to my 8 different heart issues I wouldn’t have made the qualifying time for my age group. But things happen for a reason and I am blessed to be selected under the Charity portion of the race. Part of the commitment to the charity program is raising 5 thousand dollars and having a community partner that highlights his or her rare disease/disorder. Fortunately, I have been doing a few races for a Fort McMurray 3-year-old girl Tessa Booth who has a rare form of lung cancer. She continues to kick ass and take names and has come a long way. So it is an honor and priviledge to do this for both NORD and this courageous young girl.
I hope you check out and share this page with your family and friends. As you can see it, like me, is a work in progress. Here you will find updates about my training, fundraising and most importantly the organization and fantastic little lady that I am running for. If you wish to donate or assist in any way please follow the link or email me email@example.com. :)
