David Alan Johnson
I have been very blessed throughout my life and It's time to give back – in a small way – and I'm very humbled and excited to be able to participate in this program.
My Mother and Father were not able to beat cancer and both passed on in the last 10 years. With the treatments available today, I believe both could have had a longer and better quality of life. Anything I am able to do, to help another parent get another day with their loved ones is a hugely gratifying experience! I ride for all current and future cancer patients - and in memory of Mom and Dad. My parents were amazing and passed on a tremendous legacy of Faith.
I know my Mom and Dad would have appreciated an extra day, and I know they would appreciate every mile we ride that could help someone else achieve those extra moments. Anything we can do to ease the burden of those diagnosed with cancer is a gift that pays infinite dividends and is a legacy that we can feel incredibly good about.
My hope is that every pedal we take as a team will get us one step closer to a cure.
My message to cancer
We are breathing down your neck. Take a hike – don't let the door hit you on the way out – and good riddance!!!
