Thanks so much for landing on my page. No matter what brought you here, I'm glad you came. If you are able to donate, it is much appreciated, but regardless, thanks for being part of this journey!
I started running a long time ago, but only started competetively running in the past year, starting with a Ragnar Reach the Beach team race in the summer, and most recent, a half marathon in Cambridge this fall.
My biggest motivating factor has been the compulsion to do things that I, or others, didn't think I could. This compulsion, coupled with an inability to say "no" to exciting and new opportunities, regardless of effort required, has now led me to the Boston Marathon.
Now, I am motivated by the compulsion to give back. Through running, I have been able to overcome various mental, physical, and even spiritual hurdles in the past year. It has been my privilege to be able to get up everyday and make a choice to push myself and overcome these obstacles. At this point, I feel it is now my duty to help others to overcome their own.
My company, Halloran Consulting Group, has had a long-standing relationship with the Special Olympics, and the opportunity to run with this team could not have presented itself at a better time. I can't think of a more worthy cause than raising money for Special Olympics athletes to be able to compete. Through competition, they are able to overcome their hurdles and achieve their dreams. I am honored to run 26.2 miles and raise money for 26 athletes in the process.
Thank you for supporting me in reaching this goal!
