The Story

Zoe's Bat Mitzvah Project is a triathlon of sorts spanning 18 miles in total with the goal of raising $1800 in total, $600 for each of 3 different organizations. Zoe is swimming, biking and running for 3 different causes that are each very meaningful for her. Just pick the cause below you'd like to help Zoe support. They are all great causes and you only need to pick one. Thank you!

Event 1: Swimming for Camp Simcha

Over the course of a few weeks at Camp Grossman, Zoe is swimming 3 miles in laps to benefit Camp Simcha. Camp is something that Zoe has only had the opportunity to access recently and she LOVES it. Camp Simcha is an organization that provides the opportunity for kids with cancer and other significant medical needs to have a true overnight camp experience.

Event 2: Biking for ACEing Autism

Zoe will bike 12 miles to benefit ACEing Autism. ACEing Autism is a non-profit that was founded in Boston in 2008 by the husband/wife, tennis professional/pediatric neurologist team of Richard Spurling & Shafali Jeste with the mission of making tennis accessible to kids on the autism spectrum and using tennis as a means for social connection & physical fitness. Zoe was one of the very first participants in ACEing Autism and this organization has become a big part of our family's life these past 8+ years. We have been proud to watch ACEing Autism grow into a national - and now even international - organization.

And yes, Zoe is biking for a tennis program. If there's one thing Zoe has mastered, it's the unexpected!

Event 3: Running for the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism

Zoe & ACEing Autism will come together for the 7th straight year to field Team ACEing Autism for the annual 5K road race to benefit the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism. Zoe will run this 3 miles as part of Team ACEing Autism to cap off her project and to benefit this great Boston-based organization that has contributed immeasurably to improving the quality of life for individuals and families affected by autism.
