BENEFITING: National Kidney Foundation of Arizona
EVENT DATE: Feb 22, 2019
I was born and raised in Marion, Indiana, but since moving to Arizona in 1996, I have called Ahwatukee home. I’ve been an athlete most of my life, earned by degree in Exercise Science and played collegiate level football.
Shortly after college, I pursued a career in the fire service and was hired with the Tempe fire Medial and Rescue department in 2013. Within the 5 short years of working as a professional firefighter, I became a Technical Rescue Technician, took my leadership/mentor role with our Cadet program, and continued my education by earning my patch as a Paramedic and serving the citizens of Temple, in any way I can.
Being a first responder, I treat many patients with kidney disease or those who display risk factors for developing the disease. I am honored to support The National Kidney Foundation of Arizona as a dancer in this year’s Dancing with the Stars Arizona. Through my participation, I hope to raise awareness and educate the public on the importance of personal health and the prevention of kidney disease. When I’m not serving my community, I enjoy being outdoors whether it be hiking, hunting, backpacking or playing sports.
In April 2019, my fiancé Charlea and I will be expecting the newest member of our family, our first baby girl Cooper Nicole Heasley.
I would like to thank my dance partner, Anja, for her continued support and I look forward to showing off my new dance moves and competitive nature in my first evet dance competition.
