BENEFITING: Water For People
EVENT DATE: May 17, 2014
The Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge incorporates the mountains of Whernside (736 m), Ingleborough (723 m) and Pen-y-ghent (694 m) over a 23.3 mile walk.
The first recorded ascent of the three hills was in July 1887 by J.R. Wynne-Edwards and D.R. Smith in a time of 10 hours. We will be attempting to match this.
In addition to this, to highlight 1 billion people’s daily struggle to collect water, we will share the burden of carrying an 18kg rucksack.
