Walking Alongside One Another

Women of Wonder (WOW!) exists to grow a community that walks alongside women to uncover and affirm their God-given calling through prayer, teaching, and celebration. Our response to the COVID-19 crisis has been to cultivate and nurture hope by creatively and consistently pursuing our mission while honoring our values of discovery, hospitality, and presence.

While adapting to honor our established monthly teachings online, we have quickly offered new spaces to deepen and nurture connections to one another and God. Anyone is invited to come, just as they are, as we seek God in remedying the grief, complexities, and confusion of the current times. Since mid-March, we have hosted prayer calls that gave freedom to participants from around the globe. In the past 3 weeks, we have offered guided contemplative prayer gatherings in the middle of the week, where many have shared their deeply personal and beautiful encounters with God.

Our desire is to point others to the hope and light that are found in Jesus. We believe he will lead us all forward, by inviting us to grow in the gifts of faith, hope, and love during this crisis. We believe God has entrusted us to nourish souls and dreams, because they are valuable and necessary for such a time as this. It is our delight to invite you to join with us in sharing this community more widely.

Thank you for your commitment to God's work and your hearts for the Lord's people. I am grateful to have crossed paths with you all that my life has been blessed ever since. I appreciate our friendships and that I have a safe place to share my ups and downs in life. It's been a true blessing to know that there is someone we can walk and pray with in our journeys. I thank God for the friendships that were built through this ministry; I was shown care, hospitality, encouragement, support and prayer partnership in times of need. I miss and thank God even for the fun times we have with one another in the past from just hanging out and being in each others' presence before the shut down. WOW, thank you for standing strong and not becoming weary in doing good, for hanging on to God His proper time that you will reap a harvest if you do not give up. May every woman realize her own identity in the Kingdom of God through WOW that she is precious and perfect in God's sight. God, may you continue to bless and provide for WOW and every daughter who has shared Your love to our community for Your Glory. Praise our Living God, Amen.
