BENEFITING: MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION OF CENTRAL CALIFORNIA
ORGANIZER: MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION OF CENTRAL CALIFORNIA
EVENT DATE: Sep 18, 2016
Marquese is an Oakland native who made his way to the Central Valley for college. Brown is a proud alumnus of Fresno State's basketball team. He graduated from Fresno State in 1995 with his degree in Journalism, and in his 20 years in the broadcasting industry has won two Emmy awards for his work at ABC30.
Brown is the first in his family to earn a college degree and is passionate about encouraging youth to pursue higher education. As a former broadcasting instructor for Clovis Unified, he often returns to different Valley High Schools to share his success story. Marquese starts his days before the sun comes up, either playing basketball or running. He also stays grounded by attending his wife's yoga classes.
Marquese is the father of a beautiful young woman, Darian. When he isn't busy, you'll find him at home watching "appointment TV" with his wife Christine and their two dogs, Sir Duke and Duchess Shenehneh.
Marquese is excited to be a part of the Wine Women & Shoes event for the second year. He knows it will make a difference in the lives of the many children who benefit from the hard work of volunteers with Make-A-Wish Central California.
