THE STORY:
Relay for Life is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society which is coordinated by volunteers in more than 5,200 communities and 27 countries. The Wetumpka’s branch of this organization asks our community to rally to form a team to raise funds to fight cancer or make a donation at any time.
Did you know 1 in 3 women and 1 in 2 men in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime? When you join a Relay for Life event, you're helping the American Cancer Society fund groundbreaking research, critical patient care programs, and education and prevention information. Also, the money raised gives what patients need the most- hope support, and lifesaving research.
