Wheaton's Shakespeare in the Park wrote -
The Wheaton Park District and Wheaton College Arena Theater are pleased to present the 2017 Shakespeare in the Park production of "Much Ado About Nothing" on Friday, August 25 and Saturday, August 26 at 7P in Memorial Park, 208 W. Union, Wheaton.
In it's fifth season, Shakespeare in the Park combines the talents of professional actors from around the country with student actors from Wheaton College for two nights of a full-scale production of one of the Bard's best-loved comedies, all while remaining free for theatergoers.
While event organizers are committed to bringing free, professional-quality theater to Wheaton, the annual production does come with a hefty price tag. Sponsors help to underwrite some, but not all, of the production costs.
Help keep Shakespeare in our park with a donation to the Back the Bard 2017 campaign.
Your donation to the Back the Bard 2017 campaign helps to keep the production free for the more than 2,000 annual attendees and helps cover the costs that come with the professional-quality Shakespeare in the Park performances theatergoers have come to expect, things like - lighting, sound, costumes, and set design.
Donors who make a gift of $25 or more will receive a limited-edition 2017 Shakespeare in the Park t-shirt.
Any donations received beyond the cost of the production will be donated to the event's charity partner, the DuPage County Historical Museum Foundation.
