WHAT WAS YOUR WELCOME WEEK EXPERIENCE LIKE?
I walked in to the Bronfman Center for the first time warmly greeted by staff members and Welcome ambassadors alike; I even met one of my closest friends at a Bronfman Center Welcome Week event. Feeling a smaller, tight-knit community as opposed to the huge All-University events made me come back to the Bronfman Center and eventually engage in many of the programs it has to offer.
WHAT DOES THE BRONFMAN CENTER MEAN TO YOU?
The Bronfman Center is a place for me to both explore my Jewish identity as well as take comfort in the shared culture and heritage with my peers. From in-depth conversations in my “Judaism as Art” class to community tisches held on Friday nights, I do not think that I would continue to question and nuance my Jewish identity without having had the Bronfman Center as a part of my NYU experience.
WHY DO YOU GIVE?
I give to ensure that the incoming freshman and transfers at the Bronfman Center will find their place in the community and to explore their own relationships to Judaism. I help pay it forward so that future freshman will enjoy BC Welcome Week programming that will hopefully spark a continued connection between the Bronfman Center and them.
Please spread the word using #BronfmanWelcome and share your Welcome Week memories!
