Training just one of Warrior Canine Connection’s service dogs helps more than 60 Service Members with symptoms of post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury.
Help us grow our program and reach more Warriors by joining our North American dog walk from wherever you are -- walking your dog or holding a dog walk in your community on November 7 or November 8, 2015. You can also create a team or sponsor a team under your state.
Warrior Canine Connection is a pioneering organization that utilizes a Mission-Based Trauma Recovery model to empower returning combat Veterans who have sustained physical and psychological wounds while in service to our country.
Based on the concept of Warriors helping Warriors, WCC’s therapeutic service dog training program is designed to mitigate symptoms of PTS and TBI while giving recovering Service Members and Veterans a sense of purpose, help in reintegrating back into their families and communities, and a potential career path as a service dog trainer. The program also produces highly skilled, Warrior-trained service dogs that will provide years of mobility and social support to Veterans with disabilities.
