THE STORY:
Welcome to Team VV-Funders fundraising page!
The Vail Valley Foundation has been dedicated to the Vail Valley since 1981, by producing arts, athletics and educational programs that benefit the community. The programs and events include the Teva Mountain Games. Vail International Dance Festival, USA Pro Cycling Challenge,Vilar Performing Arts Center, the American Ski Classic, and World Cup Ski Racing to major international events such as the 2001 World Mountain Bike Championships and upcoming 2015 World Alpine Ski Championships. In addition, the Vail Valley Foundation serves more than 2,500 children in Eagle County through education and enrichment programs ranging from pre-K thru college scholarships.
The VVF Staff is launching an employee fundraising campaign called the “Staff Summer Splash.” The goals of the campaign are threefold:
- To raise awareness of who The Vail Valley Foundation is and all that we do for this community
- To raise funds that are vital to keeping our many initiatives and programs alive.
- To engage in a friendly competition with fellow coworkers to see who comes out on top and wins the bragging rights.
We're super excited to be part of the VV-Funders team, and you can learn about us below:
KELSEY ASHTON:
I am the Development Officer for the Vilar Performing Arts Center and have with the VVF for 8 months. I’m originally from Ohio but have been living in the Vail Valley for more than 5 years. I appreciate being a part of an organization that has such a large, positive impact on our community in such diverse areas as arts, athletics and education.
MELISSA EGGERT:
I am the Interactive Marketing Coordinator for the VVF and have been with the Foundation for 1.5 years. I was born and raised in St. Louis, went to school in Nashville, and landed in the great state of Colorado 3 years ago. I am amazed at what the Vail Valley Foundation does year round, and enjoy most the stories told by our ambassadors on how the VVF has impacted their lives.
LAUREN WALLACE:
I am the "contract ninja" in Sales and Operations, handling all the major legal paperwork. I've been at the VVF for 1 year and am originally from Annapolis, Maryland. My favorite part of the VVF? Free swag (just kidding! Kind of!) and the buzz and excitement generated in the community around VVF events.
TED WENNINGER:
I have been with the Foundation for 4 years as Sponsorship Director on the Sales and Operations team. From Chi-town and now live in Eagle with my wife and two boys. I'm proud to work for the VVF and play a role in each of the world-class events we produce.
KARI ANDERSON:
The newest member of the VVF, I have been here for a almost two months and am loving it! I serve as the Education Director of Development at VVF's Youth Foundation, which recently merged in January. I am a Montana naative and can't wait to enjoy what Vail has to offer this summer. My favorite part of working for the Foundation, so far, is the incredible people I work with and the lives we touch through our education programming in the Valley.
Thanks in advance for your support of the Vail Valley Foundation and for helping us continue to enrich the lives of the Vail Valley!
