Penny Lane was rescued from a shelter after her breeder was raided and all his dogs taken. We pulled her and five of her friends. It turned out that the breeder wasn't so bad. She was well taken care of and loved her whole life until she found herself at one of the worst shelters in CA. She was there a whole month. It was so traumatic she still has nightmares. Here is the story straight from Penny Lane. "They treated us like savages. I was jammed into a kennel with three other cockers and we had to fight for our dinner every day. I am a lady and I do not fight so I went hungry every night. The floor was cold and it was loud with barking and shouting all the time. I was so sad and I lost all hope. Day after day I waited for mom and dad to come get us but they were not allowed to. Finally, a stranger came and got us out of that horrible place. I have never been so grateful in my life. I will never forget what it was like there and I want to raise enough money to rescue another cocker so they don't have to stay in one of those terrible places any more. Mom says it takes $500 to rescue a dog, sometimes more, but if I raise $500 she will pull any dog I want and rescue them. Please help me, Penny Lane, rescue another Cocker Spaniel " This is very important to Penny Lane. Please help her reach her goal and safe a life. We didn't tell her what happens to the dogs who don't get rescued. If we did, she would be out robbing banks to get enough to rescue everyone.
