Help Volunteers of America welcome veterans into their new home by providing furniture and finishing touches.
Volunteers of America Greater Sacramento, in conjunction with HomeAid Sacramento, is working on renovating a 12 unit apartment complex that will serve as transitional housing for homeless veterans. The first six units have been completely remodeled and fully furnished, but we need your help with the final six.
This project will help us touch the lives of veterans like Richard. He is a Vietnam Combat Veteran and served in the United States Air Force. When Richard returned from Vietnam it was hard for him to regain his footing due to severe PTSD and illness. He needed a helping hand and that's where Volunteers of America's Veteran Program stepped in. Richard says that "from the moment Volunteers of America came into my life, I did not sleep another day on the streets." We are happy to have to honor to come alongside veterans in need throughout our area.
Join us as we touch the lives of veterans who have sacrificed so much.
