Veteran Donation Campaign for Dental Expenses
Organized by: David Earl
My name is David B. Earl, a U.S. Navy veteran, who is seeking donations to pay for dental expenses.
I have major problems with my teeth that are causing severe discomfort and pain at times not to mention that I’m unable to eat a good variety of different types of foods.., which problems I'm sure will worsen in the near future. Specifically, I have 9 teeth remaining in my mouth at this time, of which 9 teeth 5 teeth are loose to a degree with 2 of those teeth looser than the other teeth. Over the past few years I have dealt with the pain of the problems with my teeth and allowing my teeth to naturally fall out with the last tooth coming out of my mouth earlier this month.., but, since that time, I have felt a tremendous amount of constant pressure from the remaining teeth in my mouth which has caused me to feel like my jaws are being firmly held in a table bench or vice clamp.
With that being said.., a non-profit veteran organization that I occasionally donate business or marketing services and volunteer to cook meals throughout the week for other veterans who reside at the home for homeless and transitional veterans has paid the expense for the dentist to examine and x-ray my teeth. The dentist has informed me that all of my remaining teeth need to be extracted leaving me no alternative but to get a full set of dentures. The cost for extracting the teeth is $324.00 and the cost for the dentures is $1,200.00, which cost factors are calculated on a sliding scale based on my income which is zero ("0"). Additionally, the fees assessed by the fundraiser website company to publish the fundraiser web page [F1] is 5%, unless the person making the donation assumes the financial responsibility of the 5% fee, and WePay charges a 2.9% fee plus a .30¢ transaction charge for payment processing fees. [F2]
Accordingly, including the dental expenses and the combined fees for the fundraising website and processing donation payments, I am seeking to raise $1,650.00 so I'm able to fix my teeth which will not only alleviate the discomfort and pain in my mouth but also allow me to eat certain types of foods that the problems with my teeth over the recent years have prevented me from eating.., which problem eating certain types of foods has rapidly worsened over the recent months due to the increasingly decline of the number of teeth in my mouth over the recent years as my teeth have decayed and fallen out. [F3]
In closing, I wish to express that your donations and generosity is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

F2 FYI.., I do possess the means to accept payments for donations over the phone through Intuit GoPayment and Square accounts that I own, or charge or debit a credit or debit card with the funds being transferred directly into my bank account, or, alternatively, transfer funds from someone’s checking account directly into my bank account; which the fees for any of these means of processing a donation is 5% or greater less than the aggregate fees charged by the fundraising website company and the payment processing company.
In the event that you wish to make a donation though a means as described in this footnote, I ask that you contact me via cell phone at (785) 383-2013 or email at DavidEarl@msn.com.
