A zip code shouldn’t determine a child’s destiny. The child we help today may make the break-through discovery of tomorrow. And thanks to the work of our United Way, she got help early, started developing, learning and thriving. You make that possible.
We aspire to empower vulnerable children so that they have the best possible chance to rise above extremely difficult circumstances, and realize their potential. Our work takes two basic forms guided by the same principle: every child holds promise. We work on a grassroots level with over 100 non-profits across Fairfield County on early childhood development, health, wellness and economic security while we are engaged in a comprehensive, major long-term effort to change the systems that surround these children and make them more functional, efficient and effective. Adversity does not have to be destiny. We are filled with hope, confident that our work is generating measurable results. In everything we do, we are empowering children for their futures.
