Research has shown that exercise and a healthy lifestyle counteracts cognitive functioning in aging and Alzheimer's disease. While the general population might not know much about Alzheimer's Disease (AD), AD affects more than 5.4 million American and ranks as one of the most common type of dementia. Traditional pharmacological treatments have not been identified, but substantial evidence indicates that physical activity enhances learning and memory for people of all ages, including individuals who suffer from cognitive impairment. In an effort to help raise awareness for Alzheimer's Disease Orange Theory Fitness Evanston is sponsoring a fitness class, taught by a certified personal trainer, to encourage fitness and a healthy lifestyle. After the fitness class, other sponsors are coming together to "turn up" for a night of music and comedy at local establishment to raise money that will go directly to Hilarity for Charity . WE NEED YOUR HELP to make this a successful campaign. Don't you want to be part of an effort to enhance someone's life? Do you have a loved one affected by Dementia or Alzheimer's? Do you know anyone who is taking care for a loved one with Alzheimer's? If you do, you must know that AD takes a toll on the quality of life patients and care takers have. You can help make that better by donating to the cause. Money donated will go to fund research and also go to families who have to sacrifice time, money and resources for care taking. Sometimes those who do good are the ones who need it the most. Illness can be very lonely and it seems like life is meaningless, but YOU HAVE THE POWER TO BRING JOY to those affected and SHOW LOVE and KINDNESS. YOUR DONATION MATTERS!
