Tumor surgery for Mango
Organized by: Cindy Douglas
My dog mango is my best friend and she's more important to me than anyone. She was scheduled to have surgery this morning to have her tumors removed. I was under the impression that it was going to cost us $400, but when we got to the vet's and got her all prepped for her surgery, we were shocked to find out that we were mistaken... it was going to be MUCH more than we had planned for. The total cost (due in FULL post-op) was in fact $900! We were forced to postpone this VERY imperative operation because unfortunately we just are NOT able to produce that kind of money! What are we gonna do? Realistically... it's impossible for us to come up with that amount of money...yet this procedure is DETRIMENTAL to my Mango's life, (which in turn, means it's also detrimental to me)!! I'm to a point where I am feeling extremely overwhelmed with fear (of losing my truest and MOST beloved friend) and honestly...I have to admit that we're even beginning to feel hopeless/helpless, too! To say the least...We are simply just beside ourselves with the whole subject at hand! Unfortunately, we're rather limited on the amount of time that we have to get this done, and we've already exhausted every resource that we had available to us! So... this is not an easy thing for me to do but I'm running out of options, and I just can't let her go...not when saving her life is a possibility!! So.. I'm asking for help and prayers to save her life... anything would be greatly appreciated. ... Mango's veterinary clinic is called PET DOCTOR (it's in Lakewood on Bridgeport) and their telephone number is (253)588-1851. My phone number is (253)231-2000...Please know that we wouldn't ask if we weren't in desperate need of any help that we can get!! Thank you VERY MUCH...from the bottom of my heart! Sincerely yours, Cynthia Douglas.
