Established in 2017 as an official non-profit, TRRAC is hosted at Maui Meadow Farm, Pennsylvania's oldest thoroughbred farm since 1946. TRRAC is dedicated to a dignified retirement, rehabilitation, and safe placement of thoroughbred racehorses when they are retired from their racing careers. We offer permanent sanctuary for elderly and special needs horses while offering others for adoption and safe placement. We strive to provide specialized medical treatments, shoeing, nutritional care, and professional training to ensure every horse is safe, happy, and cared for as well as transitions into its new home and career.

Our horses are fully evaluated for soundness, suitability for a second career, and disposition, which includes riding assessments and professional training under saddle. We also house horses in need of rehabilitative treatment such as surgery and offer them rest and a safe sanctuary. Adopted horses who are unable to be cared for are always welcome back to our facility at any time no questions asked, providing a lifetime of a safety net to ensure every horse has a home for its entire lifetime.

Whether you are a long-time horse owner or seeking your first horse, we strive to assist you and your family seek your perfect horse, answer any and all of your questions and step you through our easy processes, while offering support - even after adoption.
