BENEFITING: BITE ME CANCER
I hate running. There, I said it. I have done everything I can to avoid running since 8th grade track 34 years ago. But here I am running my first 5K. Why? Not because I feel ANY of that "runner's high" they talk about - but because I have a BITE ME CANCER high. I believe that what this organization is doing to support all teens with cancer through their teen-support bag program, raising funds for thyroid cancer research, and being inspired by their young founder who started the BITE ME CANCER foundation five months into her cancer diagnosis and is STILL battling thyroid cancer, is worth me - a healthy individual - getting off my butt and doing something that many cancer survivors may not be able to do - run a 5K and raise money to help others. Please support me and this organization as I continue to train through the Couch to 5K program and run my first 5K at the Foam Glow 5K on April 9 in Washington DC. (Along with Bartles and Jaymes,) I would like to thank you for your support.
