Tour de Streets is an annual family-friendly event to support the work of LivableStreets Alliance. Choose between an urban bike ride, kid-friendly ride, or walk highlighting the Emerald Network. Celebrate with a BBQ lunch, music, and games. Tour de Streets is located at the beautiful North Point Park in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Did you know that streets and sidewalks make up 56% of city-owned land in Boston? We all share this space daily and how we use it reflects how we want to live.
For over a decade LivableStreets has educated, engaged, and inspired hundreds of people to stand up for their streets and demand a transportation system that prioritizes safety and livability for everyone in Metro Boston.
Together we can transform our streets into safe, vibrant public spaces where people can connect and thrive.
A Celebration of Life
Tour de Streets celebrates the life and spirit of Bob Zeeb along with other members of our Metro Boston community whose lives have been lost or dramatically altered by traffic crashes. An avid bicyclist, Bob died in 2009 as a result of a crash while training for a cross-country ride.
Together with the Zeeb family, LivableStreets has built Tour de Streets as a memorial to loved ones, encouraging reflection and action to further a vision for safer streets and more livable communities.
Since 2010, Tour de Streets has grown into one of LivableStreets’ most popular events, attracting more than 200 participants in 2016, including avid cyclists, families with small children and everyone in between.
Whether you choose to ride, walk, play, or donate to Tour de Streets, you directly support LivableStreets’ work to put people first in transportation. Streets that are safe and vibrant public spaces are streets for everyone.
