Please join the HERA Women's Cancer Foundation's fight to eliminate ovarian cancer. Any donation, big or small, will go toward the fight against cancer. The event is organized by Ann Raber at Sender One climbing gym in Santa Ana.
And if you want to join the climbing ...
Whether you are a survivor and her family, beginner climber, an experienced mountaineer, or a person whose life has been affected by cancer – Climb4Life Santa Ana is for you. Women, men, children and families – all abilities, all ages, and all levels- are welcome!
Donations help fund scientific research grants aimed at eliminating ovarian cancer. Ovarian cancer is often called the “silent killer” because the early symptoms are subtle and difficult to diagnose. If caught early enough, many women survive, but without an early detection test and awareness of the symptoms, another 15,000 women will die from this disease this year. One in 75 women will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer in their lifetime. Which means the odds are that someone in your life will be affected by this disease. You can help change this story from tragedy to hope by participating in Climb4Life Santa Ana being hosted at Sender One.
The funds you raise will help HERA Women's Cancer Foundation make grants to Johns Hopkins University researchers and the dream team at Stand Up To Cancer that HERA is collaboratively funding to find a cure and more effective diagnosis of ovarian cancer. It will also help us raise awareness of the sometimes elusive signs and symptoms of this insidious disease.
