Rachel Vierck is a Baton Rouge native who's made arts education and community outreach her mission. After graduating from LSU and kickstarting her professional career in the performing arts through work in theatre and film, she opened RAVE Performing Arts Company in Central in the summer of 2015, a performing arts studio offering quality education in dance and theatre. She has choreographed for Saint Joseph's Academy/Catholic High School's drama program, and integrated arts education into public schools as a teaching artist for the Manship Theatre and the Arts Council. She now teaches movement at St. Luke's Episcopal Day School while running her studio and performing professionally as a dancer with Of Moving Colors.
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to participate in OMC's 30 for 30 campaign with my awesome students. OMC has not only helped me grow as a dance artist and educator, but my students continue to get to learn and grow with them through Kick it Out and other outreach programs. I love this city and the beautiful community we have.
