Open your eyes to the invisible wounds of war. Help us make them visible
The signs of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD) go unnoticed because our service members don't know what they have, much less how to treat it.
The fact is, over 625,000 service members, nearly one in seven who served, are living with the signature wounds of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. We cannot let them face this alone.
In 2010, the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund built the National Intrepid Center of Excellence in Bethesda, MD. Now we need your help in raising money to build nine satellite rehabilitation centers across the country. These state-of-the-art facilities will provide our returning veterans suffering from TBI and PTSD the highest quality care our nation has to offer.
Together, we can help expose, and heal, the invisible wounds of war.
Help expose the invisible wounds of war.
On April 30, 2014 we will ride our bicycles across the country from Long Beach, New York to Long Beach, California. The sole purpose of this 3,000 mile bicycle ride is to raise money and awareness for the Make It Visible campaign by the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. We have partnered with the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund to ensure that 100% of all contributions will go directly towards the building of these desperately needed special treatment centers. We are calling the bike ride The You Matter Bike Tour ’14 to let these veterans know they matter.
I need your help. For the next year my partner on this project and I will be approaching businesses large and small across the country for sponsorship. If you think your or your spouse’s company may be interested in helping wounded veterans please contact me. We are also looking for people with connections to any large organizations such as schools, scouts, church groups and professional organizations to propose coordinating with our fundraising effort. 100% of all money raised will go towards helping wounded vets.
There are also numerous ways you can contribute that don’t cost a dime. For starters, please like our page for The You Matter Bike Tour ’14 on Facebook and share our posts about the cause when you can to help spread the word about this worthy cause. Whether you have ideas or need ideas on how you can help, please contact me right away so together we can have the greatest impact on these veteran's lives possible.
The most important thing we can do for those suffering is to get them the specialized care they need right away. The longer injuries are left untreated, the harder it is to overcome. Now is the time to help.
Please ask me how you can help,
