The Robonauts a 501(c)(3) organization has partnered with The American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) to provide face shields free of cost to the many hospitals and healthcare facilities on the front lines working tirelessly to care for the high volume of current COVID patients and vulnerable, immune-compromised populations. https://www.amwa-doc.org/our-work/american-womens-hospital-services/the-robonauts/

Some of the recipients of our shields thus far have ranged from large tertiary care ICUs & surgical units, Pediatric Oncology centers, and Adult Residential Facilities for the developmentally disabled. With your help, we are aiming to fill all the orders coming in through AMWA so that no one else is left shieldless.

The Robonauts is a student lead 501(c)(3) organization that teaches STEM and Leadership skills to K-12 students and creates volunteering opportunities to address community needs. The Robonauts feel a profound responsibility in helping to combat COVID-19 during this critical time. We are thankful to our donors and volunteers who enable us to support our Healthcare Heroes.

Our team consists of High School and Middle School students volunteering their time to print these much needed PPE. We hope to partner with industry leaders to mass produce these much needed supplies. As such we are increasing our fundraising goal to meet the increased need.

The design has been provided by Michigan Medicine: University of Michigan. The materials are being collected per the spec (PLA and 4 mil Polyester) and funded by a grant through the American Women's Hospitals Service (a program of AMWA).
