The Story

EVENT DATE: Sep 05, 2015

On Labor Day weekend, the brothers of the Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta will be traveling a course of 300+ miles over three days throughout the state of Michigan. With bicycles, our brotherhood will begin in Mackinaw City and conclude at the clock tower located at Grand Valley State Universuty. As a fraternity we have come together in support of America’s troops and their families and hope to raise $10,000 for the USO.

The USO is a private, nonprofit organization that relies on the generosity of individuals and corporations to support its mission to lift the spirits of America’s troops and their families. The USO delivers its programs and services to more than 160 locations worldwide. USO centers in Kuwait and Afghanistan support services men and women deployed in support of Operation Enduring and Iraqi Freedom. The brothers of Grand Valley State University honors the mission of the USO and have taken, within the brotherhood, a personal sponsorship of Camp Arifjan located in Kuwait. Proceeds from this biking event will directly benefit the men and women stationed at Camp Arifjan and will remind them that America is grateful for their service and is always by their side.
