Our goal is to develop leadership, character, civic engagement, outdoor skills, and physical fitness in high school students.
Our method is mentored preparation and training that culminate in an intense competitive event. The mentorship is provided by men who have served in Special Forces (aka Green Berets).
The Mackall Competition is an intense competitive event which requires significant preparation and training. The Mackall competition provides leadership opportunity and testing for the competitors. It tests outdoor skills and civic engagement in a demanding, adrenaline-filled environment. The structured preparation and training for the competition, lasting several months, encompasses a civic engagement project, leadership training, skills training, and physical fitness.
Men who have served in Special Forces are engaged during the training process. They mentor the competitors during the preparation and training. The mentor then accompanies and observes the competitors during the competition.
