The Lift has programs to teach inner-city students skills in saving money, paying taxes, the cost of taking out loans as well as basic business skills. These programs, offtered to students in grades 6-12, better equip students upon high school graduation. Students attending these programs have attended post-secondary schools and have showen to be successful holding jobs. Students are taught to overcome difficult cirumstances and reach their own potential.
Mission Statement: To create a community of people on the east side of St. Paul that supports youth and families in the following ways:
- Improving job skills for at-risk teens and young adults
- Increasing financial literacy and economic understanding
- Improving relationships across racial, ethnic, and socio-economic differences
- Strengthening faith to improve moral choices, character development, and conflict resolution
