Quick back story. After departing the easy life in the Marines and entering full-time men's ministry with The King's Men, God has graced me with some monumental experiences of seeing his work in the lives of the men involved in our apostolate. Of those experiences, the greatest I've witnessed, and personally shared, are the profound healing encounters with Christ that men receive on our Samson Healing Retreats (http://www.SamsonRetreat.com/). Growing this retreat to reach more men has become my personal mission, and I invite each of you to partner with me in bringing more wounded warriors in the spiritual battle to this healing encounter: first in prayer, and second in treasure.

So what is Samson you ask? Samson Retreat seeks to bring men with wounds of abuse, abandonment, post-traumatic stress, addiction, and other emotional and spiritual traumas to a profound encounter with Christ the Divine Healer. Through the Sacramental Life of the Catholic Church, fraternal bonding, and an active and manly retreat program, participants encounter Christ's mercy and healing in ways that leave many unpacking their experiences for the months to come. For me, Samson brought closure to emotional and spiritual wounds from my combat deployment, bringing me to a place of peace where I finally allowed Christ to embrace me and restore me. It impacted my marriage for the better, brought peace to my work-life, and led me to a deeper compassion for people in general. I desire more men to experience this fraternal embrace from Christ so to see the world anew!

The funds you contribute will go mainly toward financial assistance for Samson attendees, with a lesser portion going towards further development of the program. Here are a few recommended support options.

The race is on 23 November. I will be offering my training and race for the future participants of Samson.
