The Domestic Violence Shelter, Inc. (The Shelter) serves survivors of Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Dating Violence, and Stalking.

The mission of The Domestic Violence Shelter is to provide an alternative to living in a violent situation and to offer education and resources necessary for intervention and prevention of violence and to help victims make healthier choices for themselves and their families.

The Shelter has been providing comprehensive services for youth and adults for over thirty years. These services focus on intervening and preventing domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking. Beginning as a grassroots effort by some dedicated women in the community, the agency was established as a vital part of the social service community. We are a 501 (c)3 organization

Many times a survivor leaves a violent situation with only the clothes on their back. The Shelter provides all needed items from food to clothing for individuals that come to our safe house. We also provide items to assist a person starting a new life free from violence when they move to their own home. These items come from donations and your help is needed to ensure this transition is a little easier for the survivors.
