Founded in 1990, The Atlas Society’s mission is to share with a generation that is consuming content in radically new ways Ayn Rand’s message that reason, individualism, achievement, benevolence, and ethical self-interest are the moral foundations for political liberty, personal happiness, and a flourishing society.
The Atlas Society has been providing a consistent, clear voice –– a voice we have raised in the spirit of open intellectual engagement for the past thirty years. Our programs, content, videos, and publications introduce Ayn Rand's principles to young people who have been told there is only one way to think and one way to live.
We prioritize the moral reinforcement of the principles of individualism, achievement, hard work, and independence—and the need to expose and push back against a rising tide of envy, resentment, and victimhood. That’s why we focus on defending the moral foundations of freedom by embedding these values in engaging creative content—graphic novels, pocket guides, Draw My Life videos, social media memes - content that is reaching millions of people every month. Additionally, our student programs promote activism and intellectual engagement in high school and college campuses nationwide. Not all young people are on college campuses, and the pursuit of liberty is not only an academic one and that is why we are always pioneering ways to connect with new audiences - whether that be through Comic Con's, webinars, podcasts or partnerships.
Ayn Rand shed light on the path forward during difficult transitions and illuminated a future of heroic possibilities. Her appeal to each of us was not to let that fire go out, “spark by irreplaceable spark, in the hopeless swamps of the not-quite, the not-yet, and the not-at-all” Let’s heed her calling today – to recommit to the hero in our own souls and to inspire the next generation of champions to believe in the truth that the world they desire can be won. And let’s help them win it.
The Atlas Society depends on contributions from individuals like you to support our mission: to inspire and equip people to embrace reason, achievement, and benevolent self-interest as the moral foundation for political liberty, personal happiness, and a flourishing society... helping a new generation to discover the Atlas within.
