The sparkle in his eye, the small smile, quietly present, an avid sports fan, and full of courage. What a love. On a bright, sunny morning 19 years ago in a Connecticut suburb it all began... and 12 hours later we found ourselves an hour away in a NYC hospital surrounded by a team of doctors and nurses. Kyle has received outstanding medical care from a team of world-renowned, cutting-edge surgeons and highly skilled, compassionate nurses at NYU. In addition, we have greatly benefited from MyFace and the support services that they offer. MyFace also offers financial assistance, family housing during hospital stays, collaboration with state educators in developing a curriculum based on the novel Wonder, and medical symposiums for med students. Races for Faces is an annual plea to help keep the surgeons on the cutting-edge and these wonderful services of MyFace in place for so many families of craniofacial conditions.
