The Environmental Robotics Institute by Charles Malveaux, ERI, Advanced Integrated Sensor Networks for the Human Environment: ERI uses Advanced Robotics, Automation, Real Time and Predictive Integrated Process Control, and Remote Sensing Technology to preserve protect and improve our daily lives, health, and the environment. As a Biological Engineer currently completing my PhD I created The Environmental Robotics Institute in order to give back to people, by creating a company that can connect us to our world and improve our lives. Life happens in Real Time and so do ERI's advanced sensor networks. Just as our 5 senses connect our bodies to the small personal space around us so too will ERI's advanced networked sensors connect us to the larger physical world by collecting and making available a world of data that can be used to save, protect, preserve, and improve our lives and the environment in real time. ERI’s integrated sensor networks can make us good stewards of the environment and our personal health by providing everyone with a myriad of data through networked environmental and bio-metric sensors embedded in our personal items and in the indoor and outdoor environment all around us. Personal empowerment is the goal of ERI’s advanced integrated sensor network technology. This technology can extend the range of human senses and our ability to manage, protect, and improve our environment and the places in which we live and work in ways that previous generations only dreamed of. ERI’s integrated sensor networks will create a neural network for the world and connect us to the environment and ourselves. With this real time data driven sensor network we can control and manage ourselves and our world in ways that others only dreamed of so that we can make life better as we also preserve, protect, manage our World and our environment with real time environmental data and analytics. Advanced environmental sensors from ERI can be used to monitor the environment in real time. With ERI's environmental sensor networks we can avert disasters such as insidious flooding or environmental pollution like the leaded water in Flint Michigan or monitor accidental spills of toxic chemicals in real time to help save lives with constant monitoring and awareness of the conditions all around us. Bio-metric sensors can be used to monitor the human environment in ways that will allow patients and their families to be fully aware of life changing conditions in real time and make them able to get help when they need it and not when it’s too late. At the same time these sensors can also be used by athletes and personal fitness enthusiasts to improve their performance and personal training in ways that others have yet to imagine. I created the Environmental Robotics Institute to use advanced robotics to preserve, protect and improve our lives and the environment to better our World. Networked remote sensing technology will connect us to our world and to each other in ways that other generations have only imagined through real time data collection and widely distributed real time knowledge and information. Life happens in real time and so does the need for environmental data so please join me in bringing the Environmental Robotics Institute to life so that we can make a brighter day for us all by using Advanced Robotics and Remote Sensing as a force for good.
