The Columbus Maennerchor was founded in 1848 by recent immigrants, looking for a way to remember their former home while embracing their new one. From humble beginnings, the Maennerchor (German for Men's Chorus) has become an institution. During the last 172 years, The Maennerchor has seen its share of strife; through civil war, ethnic violence, famine, and disease, we have always kept singing. The recent Coronavirus pandemic is no different. We're still here, supporting our members and the community at large. We are proud to be your Columbus Maennerchor!
