BENEFITING: SOUTH SUBURBAN HUMANE SOCIETY
ORGANIZER: SOUTH SUBURBAN HUMANE SOCIETY
This is it! I've spent the last year preparing myself physically and mentally for the Chicago Marathon, which I fully expect to be the most challenging thing I've ever done.
I'm not just running to prove to myself I can do it, though. I'm running to raise at least $1,000 for homeless pets in Chicago's southland. I've worked for South Suburban Humane Society for two years now, and have seen the amazing work that we do with the little we have. Each year, SSHS cares for over two thousand homeless dogs and cats with money that comes entirely from donations and grants.
In preparation for the marathon, I've been running races all over Chicago and recently travelled to the Grand Canyon to run my first Half Marathon. I'm fully prepared for this race, but I need your help!
Please donate whatever you can and know that your dollars are both inspiring me to run faster AND actively saving more lives.
And now, feel free to view gratuitous photos of some of the dogs and cats in my life that may not have homes if it weren't for SSHS.
