EVENT: Detroit Marathon 2016
EVENT DATE: Oct 16, 2016
Last year I ran the Detroit half-marathon for myself. This year, I'm running it for the Pokot.
This is Hope Water Project: Water is life…and hundreds of millions of people around the world are suffering today because they do not have access to clean water. Hope Water Project is committed to providing clean water by partnering with communities and drilling deep water wells in some of the world’s neediest areas. Our current project is to provide 1,000 new water wells for the Pokot tribe in northwestern Kenya.
Join me in making a difference for the Pokot not only physically but spiritually. Providing clean water gives the Pokot opportunities and time to go to school, to work, and to church. It's running water and living water all in one project.
I can't run to Kenya. I'm not even sure I can run through Detroit. But I'm going to try, because this time, it's not about me.
