BENEFITING: LEON COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY
EVENT DATE: Oct 22, 2017
Rescued from her life as a street dog (seriously - we picked her up off the side of I-10...) several years ago, Ella the Singing Bulldog has got a pretty cushy job now, all things considered. By day she’s the mascot for a local small business; by night, she snuggles aggressively and “sings” when her humans aren’t around, or close enough to pet her. Over the years she has made hundreds of (mostly human) friends and she is a tireless (albeit stinky) ambassador for the bully breed. At 10 years old and newly paralyzed from the waist down, she’s still quick with a kiss... or remarkable side eye. She reminds us daily that there’s always more to someone than what meets the eye, and that kindness counts. Senior dogs like Ella, and bully breeds in general, need love and lots of care to thrive. LCHS has always advocated for the “gray muzzles” and the sweet bullies that come through the door, getting them healthy, happy and home. Please help us support LCHS so more people can find their Ella.
