Louis Santini's Fundraiser:

Dear friends and family, On October 8th I will be running the Chicago Marathon in memory of my good friend Ryan Chiaverini's mother who recently passed after a hard fought battle with cancer. After watching my own Mother beat breast cancer this is a disease that hits close to home for me and almost everyone has someone close in their life who's been affected. All proceeds raised will go directly to Imerman Angels. Here is a brief summary below of their foundation. Imerman Angels was started by Jonny Imerman a cancer survivor who started the group in 2002. The foundation does an amazing job connecting cancer survivors (angels) with those recently diagnosed to help as they go through treatment. They can help share what they know with patients who are starting at square one and are often unsure of where to turn. There is a great benefit for an individual to be able to contact somebody else who has faced the same problem. Imerman Angels runs on donations and the majority of its small staff are cancer survivors.
