Hi my name is Jace. I am 11 years old and I live in Elk Grove, Ca. Thank you for visiting my fundraising site!
One thing I'd like you to know about me, is that I have OCD, however, OCD does not define me! I'm just a typical kid. I like to have fun, hang out with my friends, and eat cookies & cream ice cream. I also like watching cool videos on youtube, especially Dan TDM, he's my favorite! When I am not drawing you can find me outdoors playing, hiking or on the golf green.
There is something important that I am about to do and I would like to share it with you! I am going to walk 1 Million Steps 4 OCD for my birthday! My wish would be that you will join my team and help me fight Vamps, my OCD Bully! Your support would mean alot to me and others, like me Overcome, Conquer & Destroy OCD!
This will be the biggest, most important birthday party of the year. So please come join me on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the 1 Million Steps 4 OCD Walk at the State Capitol in Sacramento, Ca.
Please RSVP by signing up and help me start fundraising!
I have set my team's fundraising goal of $11,000 for a couple reasons:
1. Since I am 11 years old, setting a goal of $11,000 made perfect sense to me :)
2. Everyone knows that health care is exepensive. Throw in an OCD diagnosis, it's VERY expesenise. A person with an OCD diagnosis requires specialized treatment; therapy (CB & ERP) and treatment costs quickly add up. Alot of times, insurance companies will only cover 3-5 treatment sessions and let me tell you first hand, you need well over 5 treatments when you suffer from OCD. So I want to do my part to help others like me by stopping the stigma, bringing awareness and help educate people about OCD.
Once I was diagnosed, my mom didn't know where to turn for help. Thankfully she learned about the OCD Foundation. Through them, my mom was able to learn more about OCD, how to help me, what type of treatment I needed and where to go!
I am thankful my mom and I had the access to educational materials, resources and support through the International OCD Foundation. It has been beyond helpful. So please join me and help stop the stigma, bring awareness, hope and funds to support the important programs of the International OCD Foundation!
Please join the Vamp Fighters Team and/or consider making a donation and show your support! Together we can reach the $11,000 fundraising goal.
Thank you for supporting me and many others on June 10th as we join together at the 1 Million Steps 4 OCD Walk in Sacramento, California.
