Donate to USO Wisconsin to ensure support for more than 15,000 military families in Wisconsin through programs and centers like: Fort McCoy Center, Mitchell International Airport Center, Milwaukee Military Processing Station Center. Operation Christmas, Deployment Events, Comfort Care Kits and Reading Readiness. USO Wisconsin has had a continuous presence throughout Wisconsin since 1941 and is 501 (c) 3 non-profit that is not funded by the government or military.
USO Wisconsin provides necessary support for active duty military and their families from all branches of service: Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, Navy, Guard and Reserves . Military families are often under tremendous stress. They may not be near their support structure of extended family and friends. When a parent is deployed overseas, they are stressed about their family back home. The spouse of deployed service member is acting as a single parent who is responsible for taking care of the children, the bills, the house, and most likely is also working. When a parent comes back from a deployment, they have to figure out how where they fit in with their family. This is where USO Wisconsin comes in. By providing programs for military families to reconnect and relieve stress, USO Wisconsin provides support to military families who are often forgotten.
Military will not ask for a welcome home event or a holiday event for their family, but these events go a long way towards letting service members know that they and their families have not been forgotten. How often do you think about the sacrifices men and women are making for our freedom? How often do you want to thank a service member at the airport, but saying thank-you doesn't seem like enough? USO Wisconsin provides a platform for people to say thank you through volunteering, donations and action for military and their families.
