Every child needs a hero, but abused children need SuperHeroes. This is our 3rd Annual SuperHero 5k, run, walk and stroller roll benefiting Guardian Ad Litem Foundation of Tampa Bay.
Please consider in making a donation that will make a difference in the life of an abused or neglected child. This event will raise community awareness of the 3,000 children in Pinellas and Pasco Counties who have been removed from their homes by no fault of their own. Monies raised will make a difference in the lives of children in foster care here in our local community.
The family friendly all ages and abilities event will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017, along the beautiful Safety Harbor Waterfront. Your gracious donation will help provide emergency clothing, infant needs like strollers, car seats, diapers and formula.
Laptops or other educational supports for our teens, extra-curricular activity to let kids be kids or tutoring to help a child who has fallen behind in their schoolwork. 100% of the dollars raised will go directly to support program services-that means when a child’s life hangs in the balance, we can be there to provide the resources they need to succeed along with a caring, consistent adult volunteer who will make sure they have a voice in court and their needs are met.
Last year, over 600 runners and 100 volunteers joined us and because of generous people in the community like you, we were able to raise almost $30,000 to support our community’s most vulnerable children who have been removed from their home by no fault of their own. We thank all of you who helped last year’s event be such a success! Children’s needs requests are up 70% in the first quarter of 2017. Therefore, our goal is to raise even more funds this year in order to further our mission and make a difference in the lives of these children who so desperately need our help. Thank you for your support. Tammy Martin Guardian Ad Litem Volunteer
