Hi Guys, As you know Sunny has been fighting Hodgkin's Lymphoma for two years now. At the time of their engagement, which should be the most exciting times of their lives, they were dealing with one of the most difficult things people should ever have to go through. They did it strong faced and without complaints. He chose an aggressive treatment plan so he could be healthy in time for his wedding. During this time they both still made every effort to attend anything his family and friends were having no matter how sick he felt. He wouldn't let the cancer keep him down. Sunny took on the fight head on and has been an exemplar of strength and resilience. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, he got the great news from the doctors that he had beat it! Everyone celebrated, fireball shots were shared, hugs were given. Liz and Sunny were finally able to move on with their lives. Only to find out about a week later that the doctor's read the scan incorrectly and he was in for another even harder fight. Unfortunately since then there has been nothing going in their favor. I know there is not much that any of us can do but support them and be there for them whenever they need it. Sunny is out of sick time and with the chemo and the stem cell transplant are being moved up to the next couple of months vs. February when they originally thought, a lot will be paid out of pocket. His last surgery ate up the last of his insurance for the year. I know his employer is doing all they can for them but it still wouldn't be enough. I know Sunny and Liz would never ask for help and have yet to complain about any of this. I am sure they will be putting on another strong front, but the next few months will be the hardest of both of their lives. If we could do anything to make it easier for them, I know it would be very appreciated. My thought was to try to put together a fundraiser to help them out however we can. So if you can, please join me in contributing whatever you can towards his fight, every dollar counts.
This is a direct to organizer fundraiser.
