BENEFITING: STILL WATER CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES INC
EVENT DATE: Jun 19, 2016
My name is Sara Waidelich and I am a Sophomore Business Management major at Texas A&M University. At Texas A&M I am involved in a veteran support organization called Aggie Shields and I was a counselor for IMPACT a camp for incoming freshmen.
I am extremely excited to work at Still Water this summer! This will be my second time to be a counselor at a camp, and I am enthusiatic about this opportunity! I attended Still Water as a camper and loved every bit of it. Still Water truely is a unique camp that glorifies God in all that we do and displays the love of Christ to all the kids that attend camp!
Who is Still Water?
Still Water is an overnight sports, adventure, and leadership camp open to anyone ages 5-18
What makes Still Water Unique?
Still Water ministers to culturally and economically diverse kids and fundraises to scholarship 50% of our campers.
SW presents to over 10,000 students in the public school system and work with organizations such as FCA, YFC, Young Life, and others across the state during the year to stay connected with kids.
SW staff to camper ratio is about 3-1. We intentionally have smaller camps (75-80 kids) where college students and families serve together as our staff and leadership teams.
Why should you get involved?
In evaluation of my upcoming summer, I've determined the best investment of my time is to serve with Still Water Camps. Similar to others who serve on mission trips both close and abroad, I've been asked to help cover my costs to the ministry. I am trying to raise $500 for every two week term that I serve. Would you consider helping me by donating here and helping me go on mission with Still Water?
