For his eleventh birthday, Amos is excited to once again be asking his friends to support NFCR. The outpouring of support he has received has been truly special. Supporting cancer research continues to be important to the Porters. In May of 2018, Amos' dad, Phil, was treated for two tumors in his right lung that had spread from his original throat cancer. Thanks to regular scans and follow-up care, the masses were spotted early, and the doctors at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital were able to remove 100% of the cancer. Phil has made a complete recovery and is back to his normal life.
Amos' father underwent treatment for throat cancer and he's now thankfully doing very well. For his ninth birthday, instead of presents, Amos wanted to make a difference and requested everyone donate to NFCR in honor of his dad. His efforts generated $835 for cancer research, with Amos delivering the first $260 himself from his birthday. We salute him and all those passionate about funding the scientists making break-through discoveries in the fight against cancer. Please follow his lead and give back to support the cutting edge research that NFCR supports!
