The Shimon and Sara Birnbaum JCC inspires journeys.

We teach children, care for the elderly, embrace individuals with special needs, enthuse teens, provide culture, nourish bodies and souls and provide the meaningful and caring connections that make us a community.

We turn everyday minutes into moments that are remembered for a lifetime.

Walking through the halls, applauding a performance, standing near the pool and cheering on the ball field, you will hear toddlers singing, children laughing and see people of all ages connecting.

Every minute, every moment, people at the SSBJCC are exploring, growing, and discovering.

We have earned our reputation for innovation, quality and effectiveness in a diverse range of programs that bring out the best in people. We provide scholarships to those in need and services to those with disabilities and special needs to ensure that every member of the community has the opportunity to benefit from our programs. Last year alone we provided more than $300,000 in financial assistance to more than 150 individuals and families in our community. We impact the lives of tens of thousands of people in every corner of the New Jersey Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren County area by providing the best in contemporary programs and experiences that enhance our community.

In 2019, the JCC broke ground on a groundbreaking water splash pad that will be accessible to all.

The SSBJCC is a values driven institution that creates a positive environment which builds and strengthens the quality of life of all community members.  The SSBJCC is a place where the whole community can meet in a supportive atmosphere to share a wide variety of educational, cultural, social, fitness and recreational activities that enhance Jewish identity.  Our standards and achievements are built upon a distinguished history of community-building, guided by a heritage of volunteer service.
