BENEFITING: Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi
EVENT DATE: Oct 02, 2016
Teenager Spencer Kellow was diagnosed with Type I diabetes at age 13 ½ years old. His mother, Becky Kellow, became concerned that Spencer was consistently exhibiting symptoms of extreme fatigue, extreme thirst and frequent urination. Upon visiting the doctor, it was discovered that Spencer has Type I diabetes. Becky quickly joined the “community” of diabetes, doing due diligence with her research, and obtained invaluable assistance from the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi. Through the Foundation, Becky and Spencer became educated on the new normal of living as a diabetic. It is through the Foundation that the Kellow family and others can feel confident in knowing that there is a great support system for diabetics and their families, which is largely funded by the generosity of donations from family, friends, co-workers and many others. The Kellow family would like to pay it forward by achieving their goal for this year’s Walk for Diabetes, and with your donation to the Diabetes Foundation, you will help make this possible. THANK YOU for joining in Spencer’s journey!
