Why should I help?:
3,700+ athletes participate in our programs for FREE.
Every day, individuals with intellectual disabilities face adversity in the community. Even in today's day and age, not only are their own lives affected by disrespect and ignorance - but so are the lives of their parents, siblings, and other loved ones.
Special Olympics Hawai'i (SOHI) provides a safe and encouraging environment for local adults and children with intellectual disabilities. They gain confidence in themselves as well as receive the warmth of acceptance from a supportive community of fellow athletes, unified partners, family members, and SOHI staff/volunteers.
SOHI athletes participate in year round training & competition, health screenings, and unified sports at no cost to themselves or their families.
