Battle Juvenile Diabetes & More - Dance Across America
Organized by: Bashful Dan Young
Hi Everyone! I need your help.
My Team needs your help raising $9,600.00 to complete funding a music program that enables continuous fundraising in communities across America for worthy causes and it pays its own way. No grants or annual requests for additional funds.
For 20 years we have provided FREE Emcees/Deejays with commercial sound/light systems to raise funds for local Cancer Services, JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), Make a Wish, Special Olympics, Special Needs, Senior Center, Veterans Groups, Area Food Bank and many other Community Causes.
We financed our FREE participation by executing paid events. Now we are taking our model nationwide. We have already identified partners in 25 cities.
In 2016 our goal is 25 cities will use our program to get America dancing to the tune of caring and compassion.
Here is how it works.
New and refurbished commercial sound and light deejay shows are setup in any community. We have a Volunteer Director who partners with an existing deejay company or community organization. 30-40 dances will be the annual goal. Local business is encouraged to donate funds to rent the hall or provide a space. They can also provide refreshments or other support. This will normally all be deductible as nearly all events benefit a non-profit organization.
A cover charge is collected at each dance and donated to a specific Community Cause. Here is a basic example, if 100 people pay a $5.00 cover charge at a weekly dance then Juvenile Diabetes, Special Olympics, Food Bank or any other Cause would receive $500.00 from the event.
Have we proven our program?
Yes! I have donated an average of $15,000.00 per year in time, talent and commercial deejay equipment to charitable and community causes for 20 years. That $300,000.00 was financed by paid events such as Wedding Receptions, Holiday Parties, Anniversary Parties and Festivals.
Now I am testing in three markets in 2 states. But I have a twist!
Special MC/Deejays for Special Events! I have started training our first 4 MC/Deejays. Two of our people are Special Olympic team members with over 30 medals combined. Two are Elementary School/Middle School age kids with Type I Diabetes. This last week we expanded to include 8th/9th grade deejays.
In December we have scheduled 4 dances in one City. In January 2016 we have setup 8 dances in 2 States. We will set up a commercial sound and light deejay show at a Community location. Local businesses donate a fee to cover the expense of the hall. Admission is charged. Our special deejays provide 4 hours of entertainment.
Our success will be posted to a donated website that is being prepared by 30 November 2015. We will post the funds raised and for what Cause. Pictures of our Special Deejays/Emcees will be shared. Feedback from our Business partners, parents and kids will be featured.
I have already purchased $11,300 of used commercial equipment which requires some level of repair and refurbishment. Funds will be allocated to deploy our first 5 systems on a genuine budget.
If our 25 city test raises 1K per month each, that is $250k in 10 months of the year. Our goal is to add 25 cities each year. 2nd year estimate is $500k, 3rd year $750k and 4th year $1,000,000.00 dollars. All for worthy Causes.
Our lives are all about connections and relationships. Music is the soundtrack of our lives. Songs can inspire, empower, excite and unite us. This is a powerful way to create continuous income in our communities and it pays for itself.
So, what do you think? We can launch in a minimum of 25 cities across America in 2016.
Who wants to help me Dance Across America to battle Type I Diabetes, stock the local Food Banks, support Special Olympic Teams, Fight Cancer & so much more?
